Design for safety
RIBA Plan of Work 2013, Designing for Manufacture and Assembly, published by the RIBA in 2016, states: ‘Design professionals can influence construction safety by making better choices in the design and planning stages of a project; for example, by eliminating the need to work at height, or by eliminating the need for hot works on site, such as welding.’
